Week 3 Update

Hello cougars!
We are already onto our third full week of school!

Here are some things you may want to know:

  • Most students should not have homework because of my policy. However, if your student does receive homework it will be written in their planner.
  • Next week, students will be having an assessment on adding and subtracting integers.
  • Curriculum Night is coming up and I would love to see you all there.
Thank you parents for turning your “parent homework”. It has been amazing getting to know your students better. If you ever have any questions or concerns please email me at khenke@aoths.net.

Starting Thursday, we will be discussing multiplication and division of integers. Grades will be put into planners on Monday and will need a parent signature by Friday. If there are any concerns about grades on assignments or assessments, any student can talk with Mrs. Henke to raise their grade.

A free reading book will also be required every day. Please try to have these supplies by Friday, August 9th.  Parent Homework: Attached below is a copy of the parent's homework. There will also be a hard copy sent home during the first full week of school and is due within the first two weeks of school.  Growth Mindset: Students will learn the first week about having a growth mindset. Parents, please ask your child what growth mindset means and how they can have a growth mindset throughout the year.

Homework: completing the Foldable due September 13th

Today, September 12th, 2019 we made foldable notes for operations with integers. If students did not finish the project in class, they need to finish the foldable as homework. It is due tomorrow September 13th in class. Students are allowed to bring their journal homework help them fill out the foldable. Below is a picture of what the foldable should look like. Inside should be filled with answers to help them study. If you have any questions or concerns email me at khenke@aoths.net.
